Understanding Physician Billing
Your hospital bill will include charges for hospital services only. You may also receive separate bills from physicians involved in your care, even if you did not meet them in person. These bills cover professional services such as interpreting test results or providing specialty consultation.
Please be aware:
- Physician services are billed separately from hospital services
- Some physicians may not participate in the same insurance plans as the hospital
- Out-of-network services may result in higher out-of-pocket costs
