Insurance Coverage
Rochelle Community Hospital partners with a wide range of insurance providers to help make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for our patients. We encourage you to contact your insurance company before receiving services to verify coverage, benefits, network participation, and any prior authorization requirements. While we are happy to assist with billing your insurance company, your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurer, and patients are ultimately responsible for any balances not covered by their health plan.

Hospital Billing & Insurance Claims
As a courtesy, Rochelle Community Hospital will submit claims directly to your insurance company when the necessary information is provided at registration.
You may receive statements showing your account balance, payments received and any remaining patient responsibility. If you have questions about your bill or insurance coverage, our Patient Financial Services team is available to help.
For billing assistance, call 815-562-2181.
Commercial & Private Insurance Plans
Please bring your current insurance card to every visit. Depending on your coverage, you may be responsible for co-pays, deductibles or coinsurance at the time of service.
Many insurance plans require prior authorization for certain procedures, imaging studies or outpatient services. It is important to confirm any requirements with your insurance provider before receiving care, as failure to obtain required approvals may result in increased out-of-pocket costs.
Medicare
Rochelle Community Hospital accepts Medicare and will bill Medicare directly for covered services.
Patients are responsible for any applicable deductibles, coinsurance amounts and non-covered services. If you have a Medicare supplemental policy, we will bill that insurer after Medicare has processed your claim whenever possible.
Patients enrolled in a Medicare Advantage or Medicare Replacement Plan should verify that Rochelle Community Hospital and any treating providers are participating in their specific plan prior to receiving non-emergency services.
For the most current Medicare deductibles, premiums and coverage information, visit Medicare.gov or contact Medicare directly.
Medicaid
Rochelle Community Hospital accepts Illinois Medicaid and participates with several Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
Because coverage requirements vary by plan, patients should verify benefits and obtain any required authorizations before scheduling services.
Financial Assistance
Healthcare costs should never prevent someone from seeking necessary care. Rochelle Community Hospital offers financial assistance programs for eligible uninsured and underinsured patients.
Patients who are unable to pay for all or part of their medical care may qualify for reduced-cost or no-cost services based on household income and other eligibility criteria.
