On Wednesday, April 9, Rochelle Community Hospital had a presence at the Illinois State Capitol with a couple of staff joining the Illinois Chapter of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management’s (AAHAM) Legislative “Leg” Day.

Members met with their respective State Representatives and Senators advocating for support of a State Bill aimed at protecting the 340B program which helps provide access to affordable prescriptions to our community. The additional savings that RCH receives, is in return invested in providing more expansive services to their patients.

“It was an exceptionally positive day, and the experience was worth every bit of traction we could make for RCH and our community” States Zac Heward, Patient Financial Services Manager and “Leg” Day participant from RCH.

Among the State Representatives the group met with (and pictured) are: Nabeela Syed (51st district), Ryan Spain (73rd District), and Bradley Fritts (74th District).
