ROCHELLE, IL–Effective May 1, 2022, Rochelle Community Hospital is now live with Epic, their new electronic medical record. The Information Services Department has been working with PointCore, a division of OSF Healthcare, to make the transition. A conversion of this magnitude involves a great deal of planning for implementation and requires the commitment of a great number of staff. Although employees have completed hours of training, please be patient as we continue learning with you.

This massive conversion began in October 2021 and migrated data from the current systems of Meditech (RCH) and Athena (Family Healthcare Clinic) into one electronic medical record. Conversion to Epic allows RCH to maximize clinical efficiency and easily exchange critical data with other sites.

With the conversion, RCH unveils its new and improved patient portal, RCHMyChart. Enrollment in the portal gives patients instant access to their health information, including laboratory and radiology results, medications, allergies, demographic information, visit history, discharge/aftercare information, online bill pay and more. Additional new features include appointment requests and messaging your care team. RCHMyChart is a secure and seamless way to stay in control of managing your health. In addition to handling their own care, parent and health care proxies with authorized consent will appreciate the ability to access the records of those individuals for whom they manage care. The current hospital and clinic portals are still available through this summer.

To enroll in RCHMyChart you can:

  • Use the activation code provided by email or text.
  • Download the MyChart app on the App Store or Google Play Store. When prompted, choose Rochelle Community Hospital as your healthcare provider and follow the steps.
  • Visit MyChart.com, click “Access MyChart,” select Rochelle Community Hospital, click “Sign Up” and follow the steps.
  • Patients can also enroll at: www.rochellehospital.com.
