The Triage Line at Rochelle Community Hospital is now scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments for the general public, age 18+, who live or work in Ogle County. To schedule an appointment, please call the RCH COVID-19 Triage Line at 815-561-8829, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You will be prompted to make a selection for non-emergent COVID-19 symptoms/testing or COVID-19 vaccination. If staff are assisting other patients, callers have the ability to leave a message with their name and phone number and calls will be returned within one business day.
On Monday, April 12, vaccination appointments are opening up statewide to include anyone over the age of 16. However, 16 and 17 year olds need written parental consent and are currently approved for the Pfizer vaccine only. The Ogle County Health Department is working with all high schools in the county to vaccinate this age group starting next week.
With recent increases in positive cases in Ogle County, community members are advised to continue wearing a mask, staying at least six feet away from others, avoiding crowds, and washing your hands often. No one tool alone is going to stop the pandemic. Learn about the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/about-vaccines/vaccine-benefits.html.
