Solutions, innovations and treatments for chronic pain.
Chronic pain is ongoing pain, often linked to an injury or illness, that lasts longer than six months. Many living with chronic pain have tried conventional medications or therapy without success and may feel resigned to live with pain that can last years—even decades.
Non-surgical pain management offers solutions that people may not realize they have. Even better, innovations evolve regularly so those who have tried treatments in the past may have new options to help manage debilitating pain.

New hope for people with chronic lower back pain—the Intracept® Procedure!
Rochelle Community Hospital is among the first in the region to offer the minimally invasive Intracept® Procedure. This minimally invasive treatment targets one type of chronic lower back pain and offers immediate and long-term relief. The 30 to 90-minute outpatient procedure uses radiofrequency energy (heat) to disable the nerve so it cannot transmit pain signals. The treatment is implant-free, and patients can usually resume regular activities right away.
