The billing you receive from the hospital will be for hospital services only. You may receive bills from physicians who assisted in your care whom you did not see in person. These bills are for professional services rendered by these doctors in diagnosing and interpreting test results while you were a patient. These physicians are required to submit separate bills. Some of these physicians may not participate in the same insurance plans as the hospital. You may have greater financial liability for out-of-network services. Benefit questions should be directed to the patient’s healthcare plan and subscriber’s certificate of coverage. If you have a question about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive from them.
