RCH Offering Heart Health Education
Rochelle Community Hospital employees and cardiac rehab patients kicked off heart month by wearing red on Friday, February 2 to promote the American Heart Association National Wear Red Day.
RCH is offering the following events this month related to heart health. There is no charge to attend either event.
The RCH Diabetic Support Group will meet on Monday, February 19 at 7 p.m. in the RCH Auxiliary Room. Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurses, Diane Wegener and Marla VanVickle will focus on “The Heart Disease and Diabetes Connection”. “Taking Care of Your Heart” is a community event being held on Thursday, February 22 from 2:30-3:00 p.m. in the RCH Auxiliary Room. This presentation by Heartland Hospice Care will focus on what you need to know about Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). RCH Cardiac Rehabilitation staff will also be available for questions. Learn the basics of CHF including causes, symptoms, diagnostics, treatment and current research. This presentation will also cover the mental and social impacts of this chronic disease.
